Zhang Erwa, an orphan of unknown origin, is raised by a retired kung fu master, Brother Bai, the owner of "Spicy Next Door", a hot pot restaurant. Zhang Erwa and his peers in the restaurant set up a Hot Pot Legion to do righteous things in the neighborhoods and established their own group. On his twenty-fourth birthday, Zhang Erwa accidentally gets involved in the blood feud of the Terton Group. Established in the Tang Dynasty and led by Time-space Master in each generation, the Terton Group had been safeguarding the holy and super-powerful treasure "Muni Bead". Through thousands of years, the Group and the Bead had remained safe and sound. However, renegades in the Group stole the Bead to jeopardize the world, and only the later generations of the Lus could prevent the potential disasters. Zhang Erwa, also known as Lu Lichan, one of the true descendants of the Lus, intended to keep himself far away from all this.
